We are in Mollymook  in the Milton-Ulladulla area on the beautiful NSW  south coast, providing an enriched learning environment  for 2-6 year olds.

Montessori is an educational approach developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori. Nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize, Montessori's work is internationally respected, with 22,000 schools in 110 countries around the World. Montessori  is the  informed choice of Prince William and Kate for George, following in the footsteps of Dianna's choice for her William and Harry. The Montessori approach is comprised of three elements;  a philosophy, a methodology , and specially designed materials and activities to complement the method.  Dr Montessori  observed children  for her lifetime and designed special  materials, to appeal, yet challenge children - real-life, purposeful  activities, with sensorial , memory, mathematics, language, environmental  content. Dr Maria Montessori  discovered  that children from birth to  six have a universal, once-in-a-lifetime ability to absorb knowledge from their surroundings.  Montessori  trained educators work on a framework that begins with respect and affection for each child and from this we build safe and consistent boundaries to allow  freedom and independence to explore meaningful and purposeful activity.
Our  main educators have Montessori  qualifications as well as Australian  teacher and educator accredited creditial. We have  Skye Millard, with a Diploma in Early Childhood Montessori teachers training, an AMI Montessori Certificate and a Childcare Diploma;  and Karen, a four year university trained  Early Childhood teacher BA DIP Ed, with AMI  Montessori certificate.

Our programme highly  prepares children for their future education  and life, whether continuing in traditional schools, home school or Montessori.
This area is fortunate, as our passionate parent group have extended Montessori education beyond our preschool  2-6 years into the next Montessori  6-12 age group, at a near location.
When you walk into our classroom you will see the difference between traditional and Montessori immediately. It is the Childrens' House,  Montessori's " Casa dei Bambini". Beauty and the best  for  children-  Ambience  and aesthetics created by lighting, music, art, the neatness and order of materials on low shelving, small chairs and tables, fresh flowers in glass vases on shelves, carefully arranged  by children , ceramic plates, indoor plants, fruits, courteous  children immersed in interesting activity either alone, in pairs or groups. There is order, work is purposeful and joyful.  The children care for their " house", the environment  and the other children. This independence and choice leads to a strong  sense of belonging and self esteem.

We have spacious rooms  indoors and  outdoors, fostering care and  a connection with nature with an indoor turtle and fish aquarium, a bearded dragon terranium, a worm farm and in the playground, a friendly, white ,fluffy bunny. Outdoors  is large, treed, leafy and natural with sand, bark, grass, a rock spot, Aboriginal painted tunnel, boat, cubbyhouse and lots of dinosaur models. Outdoor activities include the sandpit climbing, jumping, running, watering, weeding, caring for pets, ball games, organised group games, art, and imaginative play.
The materials on offer are arranged on the low shelving in categories of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Cultural incorporating geography, zoology, science, art, music, grace and courtesy.
